Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer ‘Bad Newz’ has finally started streaming on OTT. Those who couldn’t catch the film in theatres can now watch the comedy-drama from the comfort of their homes.

The Anand Tiwari film began streaming on Prime Video from September 13, making it a perfect weekend watch. After creating an infectious wave at the cinemas, the film’s exciting story is all set to storm the streaming space with its fun-filled, romantic comedy with exceptional music. As per reports, Bad Newz earned a lifetime collection of Rs 66.28 crore.

The film depicts a true story of heteropaternal superfecundation and is a spiritual successor to Good Newwz (2019). Bad Newz delves into the reproductive process of having twins born to the same mother but from different biological fathers.

Cast and plot of Bad Newz

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, the film is presented by Prime Video in association with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective. The film boasts an incredible cast featuring Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chaddha, Neha Sharma, Vijaylaxmi Singh, and Faisal Rashid, among others.

The film follows Saloni Bagga, portrayed by Triptii Dimri, who learns she is expecting twins with different fathers due to an unusual biological occurrence called heteropaternal superfecundation. The two fathers, played by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, find themselves in a comedic battle for Saloni’s love. Their rivalry sparks a series of amusing and chaotic situations as they both grapple with the impending responsibilities of fatherhood in a uniquely unconventional way.

Interestingly, when Kaushal just swayed everyone with his moves in the Tauba Tauba song, the film grabbed all the attention, making it a topic of discussion on social media pages. Furthermore, many started creating reels, which went viral immediately. The film also has a recreated version of the Duplicate movie song Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, which originally featured Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Sonali Bendre.
