Beauty Queen Landy Párraga Goyburo Fatally Shot in Restaurant Ambush, Instagram Reveals Her Location

Ecuadorian beauty queen Landy Párraga Goyburo met a tragic end when she was fatally shot during a restaurant ambush.

Reports suggest that her presence at the restaurant was revealed through an Instagram post, leading her killers to locate her. 

The police are currently investigating the incident, with speculations arising that the attack may have been orchestrated by the widow of a drug lord, allegedly due to Goyburo’s rumored affair with him.

According to accounts provided by witnesses to the New York Post, Goyburo was engaged in conversation with a man inside the restaurant when masked assailants entered. Shortly thereafter, one of the gunmen opened fire on Goyburo and the man she was speaking with, before fleeing the scene with an accomplice.

Goyburo, who represented Los Rios province in the 2022 Miss Ecuador contest, was known to have a significant following on her social media platforms, with over a million followers. She also had her own sportswear line. 

Her name had previously surfaced in connection with a chat between deceased drug trafficker Leandro Norero and his accountant, Helive Angulo, last December. However, she was never prosecuted for any crime related to this association, and she had not publicly commented on the matter.

The Attorney General’s Office was reportedly investigating Goyburo’s finances, but no further details regarding this investigation have been disclosed.
