Eligibility:
– State and Central Government employees
– Defense personnel
– Bank employees
– Private sector employees working in companies with offices in four or more states/union territories
Benefits:
– No re-registration required when moving to another state for more than 12 months
– Saves time, reduces paperwork, and is valid nationwide
– Road tax is paid in two-year intervals or multiples of two (e.g., four, six, eight years)
How to Apply:
– Apply online via the MoRTH Vahan portal or through your vehicle dealership.
– Dealerships can assist by filling out Form 20.
– Private employees must submit Form 60 (Working Certificate), employee ID, and required documents.
– The RTO verifies eligibility and approves the application.
