Firoz Khan, a popular actor known for his roles in TV shows like ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Pe Hai’ and ‘Jija Ji Chhat Par Hai’ passed away on Thursday, May 23, due to a heart attack. The actor, who was well-known for his impressive imitation of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, died in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh.

Firoz’s friend and fellow actor, Durga Rahikwar, who is known for imitating Shah Rukh Khan, confirmed the news on Instagram. Rahikwar shared an emotional post, writing, “Aaj hamare beech Feroz Khan bhaijaan (Jr. Amitabh Bachchan) nahi rahe. (Firoz Khan, known as Jr Amitabh Bachchan is no longer with us).” He also shared a nostalgic photo of himself with Firoz and comedian Kapil Sharma from a previous show.

Firoz had been in Badaun for some time, actively participating in various local events and creating social media content. His last public performance was at the Voter Mahotsav at Badaun Club on May 4, where he delighted the audience dressed as Amitabh Bachchan. The actor’s burial will take place in Badaun.

Although Firoz was best known for his mimicry of Amitabh Bachchan, his breakthrough came with the TV show “Bhabi Ji Ghar Pe Hai.” He also appeared in other popular shows such as “Jija Ji Chhat Par Hai,” “Saheb Bibi Aur Boss,” “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,” and “Shaktimaan.” Additionally, Firoz gained fame for his role in Adnan Sami’s hit music video “Thodi Si Tu Lift Kara De.”

Just a day before his untimely death, Firoz shared a reel on his Instagram, showcasing himself dressed as Amitabh Bachchan from the film “Coolie.” His passion for acting and mimicry began at the age of 15, inspired by Bachchan’s performance in “Deewar.” Firoz often entertained crowds by mimicking Bachchan’s voice, starting with a simple request for a paan at a local shop, which quickly garnered attention and applause.

Firoz Khan’s sudden demise has left a void in the entertainment industry, and he will be remembered for his talent and dedication to his craft.
