Bharosa cell now in Wakad police station
On the occassion of International Women’s Day, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner launched Bharosa Cell at the Wakad police station. It is a women’s safety cell. It is a one stop solution to solve all the issues faced by women residing in the area. Earlier the cell was running at Commissionerate level now it will be observed under ACP level.
Under the Wakad division, Hinjewadi and Sangavi police stations come. So, women facing any kind of issue, domestic violence, frauds or any other problems can now be directly raised at the Bharosa cell.
“Bharosa Cell is a one stop solution for women safety issues. Under this cell we will run campaigns on women safety, rights, etc. We will focus on working women’s issues too. A special number will be allocated soon to contact Bharosa Cell. Women can contact their nearest police station, be it Wakad or Sangavi or can reach directly to us at Wakad. We have a team of doctors, advocates, and other professionals and NGOs to help out women,” said Shrikant Disale, ACP Wakad Police Division, who heads this unit.
