Pune: Bhimthadi Jatra, which provides market rights to women self-help groups, will be organized from 21st to 25th December 2022 at Agricultural College Ground, Shivajinagar (Sinchannagar), Pune, under the auspices of Agricultural Development Trust Baramati, Bhimthadi Foundation and Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri.

There will be 340 stalls of women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs from 23 districts of Maharashtra and 7 States.

Every year, the Bhimthadi fair, which brings an innovative attraction, has different stalls of staples (millet-nachni, ral, sava, bhagar, sama, varai) and they also come up with different unique concepts from disposable items to durable items.

In its 16th year, Bhimthadi Jatra will showcase Maharashtra’s art and culture (Gondli, Potraj, Bharud, Jyotshi, Patharwat, Burud, Kersoniwale, Nandibail,) rural food festival along with handicrafts made by women’s self-help groups in rural areas, summer foods, chutneys, spices and pickles. Products like clothes, fruits, leafy vegetables, grains, pulses etc. will also be available for sale.

The fair will also have a stall with the concept of environmental conservation, native tree conservation and save the environment message, and hydroponics farming. There will be various stalls with information on soilless farming, non-toxic leafy vegetables, cowsheds, poultry farming, goat farming, kitchen garden, fisheries, floristry, silk and beekeeping.
