Budget of Rs 2419 crores for PMRDA approved for 2022-23

The meeting of Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of chief minister Uddhav Thackeray today gave approval to the budget of rupees 2 thousand 419 crore of the Authority.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde participated in the meeting through the video conferencing.
The PMRDA has included the initial balance, construction permission to TOD, TDR and other facilities for the year 2023-24 and rupees 1859 crore will be raised in the form of leasing out the land, land premium, stamp duty, amount of interest through Financial Institutions or through loans, security etc. In this way, 3 thousand 193 crore are included in the budget. The budget of totally 2 thousand 419 crore Rupees has been tabled.


 Hefty provisions had been made by the authority in the budget for housing projects, Ring Roads, various schemes of town planning and other new schemes.Approval was also given for signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the international Finance Company named International Finance Corporation (IFC) which is the member of World Bank Group. After this non binding agreement, IFC institution will provide counseling service, study of infrastructural facilities, project capacity development program and project wise financial assistance to PMRDA. Green Signal was also given for erecting a well planned integrated township with agreement of Mumbai Metropolitan region and Karlsruhe City Council of Germany and international Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC), which is working under the aegis of European League. This proposed City will include integrated industrial, resident and commercial facilities. For this, foreign investment will be made in large quantity and Technological exchange will provide more employment opportunities.
