Wearing mask voluntary ; Covid19 restrictions in Maharashtra relaxed
Maharashtra cabinet took the decision of dropping all the restrictions after nearly two years. The meeting was chaired by the chief minister, the state health minister, Rajesh Tope.
All Covid19 related restrictions relaxed from April 1, 2022 :
All restrictions imposed since last two years relaxed
Gudhi Padwa, Shobha Yatra, Dr Ambedkar Jayanti, Ramzan celebrations can be held with grandeur
Maintaining social distancing is mandatory
Wearing masks is voluntary and not compulsory
Hotels, gardens, gyms, cinema halls, multiplex, educational institutions will have no restriction on number of people
Weddings, family programmes and funerals will have no restriction on number of people
