Central Railway RPF comes down heavily on offenders, strict action against chain pulling, ticketless travellers

Strict action against unreasonable Alarm Chain Pulling, Illegal ticketing, unauthorized hawking and travelling with liquor and tobacco products.

Central Railway RPF has registered cases against unreasonable Alarm Chain Pulling, Illegal ticketing, unauthorized hawking and travelling with liquor and tobacco products and strict action has been taken along with imposition of penalty.
The details are as follows : In the month of May-2023:-
• 941 cases of unauthorized Alarm Chain Pulling registered under Section 141 of the Indian Railway Act. 711 persons arrested and Rs.2,71,205/- realized as penalty.


• 49 cases of illegal ticketing registered under Section 143 of the Indian Railway Act and 52 touts prosecuted for the same.
• 2741 cases of unauthorized hawking registered under Section 144(1) of the Indian Railway Act. 2729 unauthorised hawkers arrested and Rs.17,27,580/- realized as penalty.
• 363 bottles of illegal liquor amounting to Rs.1,19,680/- seized and 4 persons arrested for the same.
• 14 packets of illegal tobacco products weighing 64 kgs and amounting to Rs.84,000/- seized.


Central Railway’s appeal to passengers:
• Do not resort to ACP for unnecessary / frivolous reasons thereby inconveniencing others.
• Do not buy tickets from unauthorized agents / touts
• Do not encourage unathorised hawking
• Do not carry liquor / banned tobacco products in train
• Travel with proper tickets and travel with dignity
