CET Cell Revises Exam Dates to Avoid Clash with CBSE Class 12 Board Exams
Pune: January 11, 2025
In response to concerns raised by students and parents over clashing exam schedules, the Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has revised the dates for five key courses, two under the Department of Technical Education and three under the Department of Higher Education. The decision comes after it was highlighted that the CBSE Class 12 exams, scheduled between April 1 and 4, overlapped with the CET for the five-year law course on April 4.
Following persistent appeals, the CET Cell announced the revised dates in a circular issued on Friday. The five-year law CET originally scheduled for April 4 will now take place on April 28. Similarly, the CETs for B.Ed. and M.P.Ed., initially set for March 16, have been rescheduled to March 19. The M.P.Ed. field test, earlier slated for March 17-18, will now be conducted on March 20-21.
Changes have also been made to the MBA/MMS CET under the Department of Technical Education, which will now be held from April 1-3 instead of March 17-19. Additionally, the BBA/BCA/BBM CET exams, originally scheduled for April 1-3, have been postponed to April 29-30 and May 2.
The CET Cell had released a tentative schedule for 19 courses back in November 2024 and initiated the registration process. However, these adjustments aim to address scheduling conflicts, ensuring fairness and convenience for students appearing in both the CBSE and CET exams.
