In a surprising turn of events, four individuals were arrested on Sunday in Noida for consuming alcohol inside a modified car during a wedding celebration. The incident took place near a banquet hall in Sector 73. It’s within the Sector 113 police station limits.
The police statement revealed that those arrested were from the banquet hall’s management team and included the operator of the bar set up in the modified car. However, the police did not clarify if any complaints were received or if any action was taken against the wedding guests or hosts.
Upon receiving information about the open consumption of alcohol, the police immediately intervened, leading to the arrest of Haider (30), Arjun (20), Ajit (21), and Prateek Taneja (27). Taneja, a resident of Delhi owns the modified car. The car was seized during the operation.
The police emphasized the seriousness of the violation. Police stated that the setup of a bar inside a modified car for public consumption was a clear breach of regulations.
