Change India Foundation demands Chandni Chowk to be renamed as NDA Bridge

Pune: The long awaited multi-layer flyover at Chandni Chowk was inaugurated by Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday. However, at the same time, a strange protest was organized by Change India Foundation with bottles of liquor and beer.
As per information, in the vicinity of Chandni Chowk, Pune, Change India Foundation has hung liquor and beer bottles demanding that the newly inaugurated bridge should be renamed as NDA bridge.
According to protestor Sachin Dhankude, the word Chandni is inappropriate. It has no history. But National Defence Academy (NDA) is a sense of pride for Puneites. There are two such institutions in the country. Thus, Dhankude has staged a protest in the Chandni Chowk area by putting bottles of liquor and beer and demanded that the bridge should be renamed. The protest saw signatures of many Puneites signing the petition.
