Citizen stress on increase in patrolling on Skylane road in Wakad

Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation (PCHSF) chaired a meeting on Saturday September 25, 2021 with SPI, Wakad Police Station, Vivek Mugalikar, stressing on the increase in the crime rates in the area. The meeting was led by the president of the organization and the resident of Wakad, Tejaswini Sawai.

Shivsena leader, Rahul Kalate, too, was present for the meeting and he shared valuable inputs about the important developments coming in the area.

The citizens present for the meeting stressed their worries on the rise of anti-social elements in the area, leading to fear and unsecure atmosphere among citizens. SPI, Vivek Mughalikar also took a note of various hotspots in the area where anti-social elements such as illegal drug supply, and harassing the public is becoming common aspect.

Rahul Kalate while addressing the meeting said, “Additional 100 CCTV’s may come into area soon and nearly 40 spots have been identified by us where we can install these cameras for security and vigilance purpose.”Mugalikar, while addressing the citizens said, “We have taken note of the discussed issues but I would still urge the residents to go for a morning in a group or maybe in a company with someone. Avoid going alone. Our study says that these criminals observe the individual alone and then attack. However, we will increase the patrolling but citizens should be alert and immediately dial us (112) during emergency.”
