Citizens can check the annual rateable value of their property at PMC building The assessment book has been made available under Rule No. 13 and 15 (1) of Schedule 8 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949.

Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation‘s property tax department has made available an ‘Assessment Book’ for citizens to check their annual rateable Value of their property.

For the year 2022-23, computerized assessment records of ‘Assessment Book’ showing the Annual Rateable Value of income in all wards has been prepared and can be seen in the Taxation Section of Taxation and Tax Collection Office of Municipal Building, Ground Floor Room No. 6, Placed in 11, 13.

The book can be viewed during office hours. Is the Annual Rateable Value or other entries mentioned in the Assessment Book the same as in the year 2022-23 or how ?

If the beneficiaries have any complaints related to the said record, they should contact the Deputy Commissioner and Head of Taxation and Tax Collection, Pune Municipal Corporation from 9.45 am to 6.15 pm from 20.12.2022 to 15.01.2023 with the reason of complaint. Citizens can send their complaint to the office in Shivajinagar, Pune – 411005.

Grievance applications received after 6.15 PM on 15.01.2023 will not be entertained. A separate complaint application for each income should be made by the owner of the property. The assessment book has been made available under Rule No. 13 and 15 (1) of Schedule 8 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act, 1949.

Speaking about the same, property tax department head Ajit Deshmukh said, “We have not made any changes in property tax. We have made the books available where citizens can check their property tax and raise their objections if any problem is detected.”
