Citizens group from Wanowrie resort to Gandhigiri

For the last fifteen days residents of Wanowrie – Kondhwa were consistently following up with the officers of Wanawadi Ramtekdi ward office to resolve various issues such as potholes, waste dumps, poor electricity on the main and internal roads, rehabilitation of hawkers and several other issues from the ward office limits. But several requests raised by the residents were neglected.

Today, the members of Incredible Samajsevak Group offered roses to the officers and requested them to resolve the issues raised by them and registered their protest against the lackadaisical attitude of the officers.


The members approached several officers from different departments of the ward office who refused to accept a rose from the members. 
Aslam Bagwan, a member said, “We had raised 15 issues from our area including cleanliness, potholes on the road, rehabilitation of hawkers, action against Kondhwa Corporator and delay in filing a police complaint against him. Today, we handed over a memorandum to Shyam Taru, assistant commissioner, Wanawadi Ramtekdi Ward office and requested him to expedite action on our complaints.”   


The Gandhigiri way of protest was held by Aslam Isak Bagwan, Ibrahim Khan, Raju Sayyed, Raj Faiyyaz, Amin Daar, Imran Ghodke, Suraj Kamble, Nikhil Jadhav, Vikas Wankhede, Sahid Shaikh. The protest was supported by ex minister for state Balasaheb Shivarkar, Vijay Bhau, Bablu Sayyed.
