Persistent efforts from citizens; new bus from Sahakar Nagar to Swargate begins

Under the Atal Bus Service, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), started a bus service on Swargate to Sahakar Nagar 2 last bus stop route (bus number S 9). The first service of the bus was flagged of by Murlidhar Mohol recently.

The flagging off ceremony also saw presence of Mahesh Wable, local corporator, Manisha Mahesh Wable from Swarajya Pratishthan, Dattatray Zende, Chandrakant Varpe, Satish Gate, Rajesh Kudale, officials from PMPML and several residents of the area. The bus service can be availed at Rs 5 only. This bus service will ply on Swargate – Laxmi Narayan talkies, Panchami hotel, Laxmi nagar, Sarang society, Sahakar Nagar 2 last bus stop and shall run after every 40 minutes.

Murlidhar Mohol, mayor, Pune Municipal Corporation said, “Over 50 midi buses have been added to the PMPML’s fleet. More buses will be added in the near future.”

Dattatray Zende, traffic planning manager, PMPML said, “With this bus service, citizens will get better connectivity to reach to any area from Swargate. More citizens should avail the facility.”
