Omkar Naik wins international abacus competition

Omkar Jay Naik, a student of Ideal Play Abacus (IPA) franchisee located in Roseland Residency won gold medal in the recently held International World City Cup 2021 Abacus and Mental Arithmetic and Math Competition. The competition was held from Vietnam, wherein the students from across the world participated virtually.

He was guided by his mentor Kavita Patil, who is an Abacus and Vaidic Maths expert. He was felicitated by local corporator Nirmala Kute, from Pimple Saudagar for his success. Omkar is a resident of Sai Marigold Society and a student of Class IV of Euro School. Kute appreciated his efforts to learn Abacus and participate in international level tournaments and also winning it with high points. She said that Omkar Naik’s success will be an inspiration to many children.

He has been learning abacus for the past two years and has won several accolades. He has won national level competition twice, state level competitions twice in first position and twice on international level. Kavita Patil his mentor has been teaching for the past 11 years and teaches Vaidic Maths too.
