With symptoms similar to COVID-19, lasting for 3-5 days, now the risk of this disease is increasing in the country. For the past few days, the number of patients with seasonal flu, which has symptoms similar to COVID-19, has increased in hospitals. This disease often comes with a high fever, lasting for 3 to 5 days, although in children and elderly people, recovery may take up to 8 days.

A new variant of the coronavirus has once again gained strength along with viral fever. Its symptoms include fever, body aches, runny nose, and difficulty breathing. More than 600 cases of the COVID-19 JN.1 variant have been reported in the last 24 hours, leading to recorded fatalities.

Preventing Seasonal Viral Infections, Tips:

Former AIIMS director Dr M C Mishra says that whether it’s influenza, the flu, or the coronavirus, the same path should be taken for prevention from all of these. These are all contagious and can spread from one person to another.

Many patients with viral fevers are currently coming in. Therefore, always be cautious. If someone at home has a viral fever, maintain distance from them. When you are close to them, wear a mask and frequently wash your hands with soap and water.

Even when going outside, wear a mask.

Take care of what you eat. Drink plenty of water. Since it is winter, take precautions against the cold, but make sure there is good ventilation in the house.”
