Pune: Considering the delay in the immersion procession and the sentiments of the devotees, Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati will participate in the procession this year at 4 pm, informed Manik Chavan, president of the trust on Wednesday.

As per information, for the past several years, Dagdusheth Ganapati has been participating in the immersion procession during the night on Laxmi Road after the police administration makes the way available. However, the delay in departure is increasing every year. Last year Bappa arrived at Belbaug Chowk at 7.45 am. Devotees had to wait a long time for the darshan. Thus, the decision is made considering the sentiments of the devotees.

It is worthy to note that the immersion procession of ‘bappa’ is worth watching. In a line, all the ‘Manache Ganapati join the procession to the sound of drums one after the other. However, Dagdusheth Ganapati is too late to join the procession. So, the people of Pune have to wait to get his darshan. Therefore, this year Srimanta Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Bappa will participate in the immersion procession on Lakshmi Road at 4 pm.
