Tech Trio Triumphs: Pune Based Arvind, Sunanda and Hemant Conquer Everest Base Camp Trek

Journey to the Top: Arvind, Sunanda and Hemant’s Everest expedition.

In an extraordinary feat of determination, Arvind Shinde, alongside his wife Sunanda Shinde and their friend Hemant Bandawane, successfully conquered the Everest Base Camp trek. Hailing from Pune, this trio embarked on the challenging adventure to commemorate their 20th anniversary, defying the odds and emerging victorious in the face of adversity.

Arvind, an IT professional, and Sunanda, a stock trader, residents of Pristine Meadows Society, Wagholi, embarked on this epic journey with their close friend Hemant, also an IT professional. Battling through treacherous terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, they remained resolute, fueled by their shared determination to achieve this remarkable milestone together.

Their expedition was organised by Super Trekkers, renowned for their meticulous planning and unwavering commitment to safety. Prior to setting foot in the Himalayas, the trio underwent rigorous training to enhance their fitness levels, acclimate to high altitudes and master essential navigation skills. This meticulous preparation proved instrumental in navigating the arduous Himalayan trails with precision and confidence.

Expressing their gratitude, Arvind and Sunanda credited Super Trekkers, “We are extremely happy to announce that we had an unforgettable adventure on the way to Everest Base Camp. It was a great thing to do as we celebrated our 20th anniversary and wanted something challenging, which would test our limits and provide us with lasting memories. We faced difficult situations while moving across dangerous weather conditions and high altitudes, but had some stunning views that compensated for everything.”

They expressed sincere gratitude to Super Trekkers for supporting them every step of the way. “Yogesh along with his team played a critical role in helping us succeed in this endeavour,” they said. “They assisted us in putting together logistics such as getting the right gear for this trip, which made all the difference because it is as good as having bullets for armed forces. These trekkers went ahead of time planning carefully about everything so that we could stay secure and comfortable throughout this adventure.”

Arvind and Sunanda further said, “Getting a chance to reach Everest Base Camp and enjoy mind-blowing scenery of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam has fulfilled an ambition I have cherished since my childhood days. The journey has been very rewarding as we come back home not just with amazing memories but also a deep sense of accomplishment.”

Although, their path was fraught with challenges, from the unforgiving elements to the physical toll exacted by high altitude hiking, their journey unveiled breathtaking vistas of Mount Everest, alongside other majestic peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam, offering a profound immersion into the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas.
