Dahanu festival to begin from February 23, promotes production of chikoo
Dahanu Festival is all set to begin from February 23, 2024, to February 25th, 2024, to support and elevate the local community through small-scale art and culture depicted in the festival made by the locals.
Dahanu is a coastal town situated near Mumbai and is a famous commercial and industrial town that is known for the production of chikoo and provides nearly 35% of Chikoo production in Maharashtra. With its ambient flora and fauna and fertile soil, it gives rise to the forest, which serves as a home for several species and gives shelter to the local tribe of Dahanu.
This festival will have several activities ranging from camping, stargazing, parasailing, warli painting, arts and crafts workshops, sand art, and many more.
The opening ceremony will be conducted on February 23 at 11:00 AM, followed by an Adivasi folk dance performance, a local talent performance, water sports, star gazing, beach games, and a fashion show. The second and third days will have more adventure activities.
