Defying all Odds: Daughter of ₹12K-Earning Salesman Bags ₹45 Lakh Job
Shatachhi Nigam’s success story inspires a nation as she breaks records with grit and brilliance
Shatachhi Nigam, a final-year B.Tech student at MMMUT Gorakhpur, has set a new benchmark by securing a ₹45 lakh per annum job offer, the highest salary package in her university’s history. Raised in a household where her father earns just ₹12,000 a month as a salesman and often struggled to provide even two meals a day, her journey speaks volumes about resilience and the power of education.
Since her school years, Shatachhi Nigam excelled in academics, but the family, which lived in rented room, was constantly faced with financial hardships, forcing her to take out a loan to fund her studies, which she has since repaid.
She secured the 15th rank in her district in UP Board exams, and later secured admission into the MMMUT, where she is currently in her final year of her B.Tech course in Computer Science
Shatachhi ranked 15th in her district in the UP Board exams and later cleared two online tests and an interview that landed her an internship at Amazon, offering a ₹1.10 lakh monthly stipend. Her impressive performance during the internship led to a full-time software developer role, crushing the university’s previous record of ₹15 LPA.
She credits her family especially her uncle and aunt, for their unwavering support throughout. Her journey stands as a powerful reminder to students across the country: dreams are valid, no matter where you come from, when they’re backed by determination and discipline.
