Delhi to Pune Vistara Flight Receives Bomb Threat ; Passengers Safe
Navi Mumbai: Bomb Hoax Creates Panic in Inorbit Mall
On 18th August, a call center run by GMR Group received a bomb threat call regarding a flight from Delhi to Pune. The flight was identified as ‘UK-971’ from Delhi airport and was scheduled to take off from Delhi at 8.30 am.
As per information, a security agency official told that the aircraft was placed in an isolation bay after receiving the bomb threat. There was a bomb threat on the UK-971 (Delhi-Pune) flight. After a thorough check, there were no suspicious items found on board.
Due to the large number of passengers on board, all luggage was been removed from the aircraft for the safety of the passengers. The passengers have been relocated to the Terminal building for refreshments and assistance.
According to the SOP, the aircraft will remain on the ground pending the final approval of the security agencies. It is expected that the flight will proceed to the final destination of Pune as soon as it is cleared.
