Devotion Peaks in Wakad as Jaya Kishori’s Spiritual Katha Attracts Huge Crowds and Ends with Grand Finale

Wakad witnessed a powerful display of devotion as the three-day Shrikrishna Leela Mayra Katha by renowned spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori concluded on an inspiring note. The event, organised by BJP City Vice-President Ram Wakadkar, drew large crowds throughout its duration and turned the neighbourhood into a vibrant spiritual hub.

Held on an open ground near the Mumbai–Bangalore Highway, the Katha began on Monday (24th) and saw thousands of devotees attending each day. Jaya Kishori’s soulful narration kept the audience fully engaged, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and collective energy.

Several dignitaries attended the inauguration, including MP Shrirang Barne, Chinchwad MLA Shankar Jagtap, BJP City President Shatrughna Kate, former MP Amar Sable, former corporator Chandrakant Nakhate and Ranjit Kalate. Members of the Ram Wakadkar Mitra Parivar and residents from Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale were also present in large numbers.

The turnout on the final day was especially strong, with devotees participating wholeheartedly in bhajans, chanting and the closing aarti. The grounds remained packed throughout the three days, reflecting the event’s strong impact across the region.

With its spirited participation and devotional atmosphere, the Krishna Katha has left a lasting impression on the community, becoming one of Wakad’s memorable spiritual gatherings in recent times.
