‘Dhurandhar 2’ OTT Release: Streaming Platform for Ranveer Singh’s Spy Thriller Revealed
Excitement around Ranveer Singh’s upcoming action-packed thriller ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is rapidly building as the film gears up for its theatrical debut on March 19. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel has been generating significant buzz since the trailer release, giving fans a glimpse of the high-stakes espionage drama that awaits them on the big screen. Along with the gripping preview, the trailer also confirmed where audiences will be able to watch the film online after its theatrical run.
The much-anticipated spy thriller has secured its digital streaming partner. Once the film completes its theatrical run, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ will premiere on JioHotstar. While the streaming platform has been revealed, the makers are yet to announce the official date for its digital debut. The announcement was subtly included at the end of the trailer, instantly sparking curiosity and excitement among viewers eager to know when they can watch the film at home.
Early ticket sales suggest that the film is already attracting a strong response from moviegoers. Advance bookings for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have crossed the two-lakh ticket mark across multiple languages. The film has reportedly collected around Rs 18.11 crore in advance sales for its opening day, including block bookings.
Such impressive figures highlight the strong interest among audiences and indicate that the spy thriller could open to a powerful box-office start.
The film’s release strategy also played a role in building momentum. The makers finalized the March 19 theatrical date after Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ was pushed back. Initially, both big-budget projects were expected to arrive on the same day, setting up a major box-office clash.
However, the team behind ‘Toxic’, directed by Geetu Mohandas, postponed the film amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The gangster drama is now scheduled to release on June 4. The shift has cleared the path for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ to enjoy a solo run at theatres, potentially boosting its box-office performance and giving audiences more room to watch both films separately.
The upcoming film follows the success of the first ‘Dhurandhar’, which released in theatres in December 2025. After its theatrical run, the original movie later debuted on Netflix and received a strong response from viewers on the streaming platform as well.
With the sequel now ready for release, expectations are particularly high for Ranveer Singh, whose intense performance in the trailer has already caught fans’ attention.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared his thoughts on the film’s early momentum and the response to paid previews. Posting on X, he wrote, “Good days seem to be returning — ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’ looks ready to create history. Records could be in danger even before its official opening. The craze around the film is clearly visible everywhere, and what’s truly impressive is the response to the paid previews scheduled for Wednesday, 18 March 2026. The exceptional ticket sales suggest that the preview numbers themselves could be historic.”
