Dilip Walse Patil, the state cooperation minister and a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), suffered an unfortunate accident at his home in Pune yesterday. Reports suggest that he slipped and fell, injuring his leg and fracturing his arm. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Pune and is undergoing surgery.

Patil tweeted on X (Formerly Twitter), “Last night I suffered a fracture due to a fall at the residence and further treatment is under way as per the doctor’s advice. Doctors have advised complete rest for some time. Will recover soon and be active in social work with you.”

Patil’s injuries are serious, including damage to his hand, leg, and back. However, his condition is currently stable, and he is expected to remain in the hospital for 12 to 15 days. Despite the severity of the incident, there is no immediate danger to his life, and he is expected to recover soon.

The accident occurred when Walse Patil was attempting to turn on a light during the night, causing him to slip and fall. 


Dilip Patil, a prominent figure in Pune district and a six-time MLA from Ambegaon, has a significant presence in Maharashtra politics. His injury has raised concerns within the NCP, especially with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
However, his supporters remain hopeful for his speedy recovery and are offering prayers for his well-being.
