The much-anticipated music festival, featuring top artists like Jorja Smith and Amit Trivedi, has been called off due to unforeseen legal circumstances.

Pune, Maharashtra: The 15th edition of NH7 Weekender, which was set to take place this weekend at Teerth Fields in Pune, has been abruptly canceled. The official announcement came just hours after organizers shared an update on Instagram, informing attendees of a delay in the opening of the festival gates due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

In a statement released on social media, the festival organizers expressed deep regret over the cancellation, citing “law and order restrictions” as the primary reason for the decision. The event, which was scheduled for December 14th and 15th, was to feature a star-studded lineup, including international headliner Jorja Smith and renowned Indian artists like Amit Trivedi, Usha Uthup, King, and Kayan.

“We are extremely disheartened to inform you that NH7 Weekender 2024 will no longer take place on 14th-15th December due to law and order restrictions in Pune. Despite our best efforts to resolve the situation and having everything ready for the gates to open, it ultimately remained beyond our control,” the statement read.

Organizers assured ticket holders that full refunds will be issued through their ticketing partner, Insider/District, within 7-10 days. Detailed instructions for the refund process will be provided shortly.

The cancellation has come as a disappointment to fans who had been eagerly awaiting the event, marking the 15th year of the festival, which has become a beloved tradition for music lovers in India. “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support. The Weekender family means more to us than ever, and we are grateful for your understanding during this challenging time,” the organizers concluded.

As the festival heads into its milestone 15th year, fans and artists alike will have to wait for the next opportunity to come together for the music festival’s signature experience.
