The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed a special brief revision programme of photo electoral rolls based on the eligibility date of January 1, 2024. As a part of this programme, the draft list will be released on October 27. Concerned individuals can submit their claims and objections to the voter registration officer. The decision on the received claims and objections will be taken by December 26, 2023, and the final voter list will be published on January 5, 2024.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Voter Registration Officer, and polling station notice board will publish a list of claims and objections. The proposal is to remove the names of voters who died from the list. After providing individual written notice to voters and political parties, a decision on claims and objections will be made at least seven days later.
