Residents of Gananjay Society in Kothrud, Pune, are facing a difficult situation due to the ongoing road construction work. The road, which is part of the Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) development plan, has been closed for construction, but the work has been slow, leaving residents to deal with dusty roads and inconvenience.

A Cricketer turned Journalist Sunandan Lele has expressed his frustration over social media handle on X about the road work undertaken by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

The PMC had undertaken the development of the road from Swami Vivekananda Chowk to Srikanth Thackeray path under Tender no. 310. However, the work has been progressing at a snail’s pace, leaving the residents to deal with the consequences.

“We are fed up with the slow pace of work,” said a resident of Gananjay Society. “The PMC had promised to complete the work within a certain timeframe, but it seems like they are in no hurry to finish it. We are suffering due to their negligence and lack of planning.”

The situation has become so dire that residents are finding it difficult to navigate the roads, especially during peak hours. The excessive dust and debris on the roads are causing respiratory problems, and the lack of proper lighting is making it difficult for commuters to travel safely at night.

The PMC needs to take immediate action to address the concerns of the residents and ensure that the work is completed at the earliest. The residents of Kothrud deserve better, and it is the responsibility of the authorities to provide them with a safe and convenient commuting experience.

A video posted by Sunandan Lele on X has exposed the reality of the situation, showing the dusty and potholed roads. The video has sparked outrage among residents, who are demanding action from the authorities.
