As on August 16, 2021, out of 18 lakh people eligible for vaccination 8.95 lakh people have got their first vaccine whereas 3.16 lakh people have got 2nd vaccines (along with 1st vaccine).  This indicates the need for faster spread of awareness on vaccination as well as coverage through actual vaccination drives. They can be accelerated if the private sector comes forward and provides vaccinations to the needy people under the scheme.
