Air India revealed its revamped uniforms for cabin crew and pilots, designed by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The airline’s female cabin crew will don ombre sarees with a modern twist, complemented by Vista-inspired patterns, while male crew members will sport sophisticated bandhgalas. For the cockpit crew, Malhotra crafted classic black suits with prints inspired by the new Air India logo.

Scheduled for a phased rollout over the coming months, the uniforms will make their debut with the entry into service of Air India’s first Airbus A350. The female cabin crew uniform features ready-to-wear ombre sarees with intricate jharokha patterns and Vista icons, paired with blouses and blazers. The innovative addition of comfortable pants offers greater flexibility for female crew members to express their individual style, creating a unique East-meets-West look.

Senior female cabin crew members will wear aubergine-to-burgundy ombre sarees with matching blazers, while junior members will don vibrant red-to-purple sarees paired with red blazers. The cockpit crew’s uniform features a timeless black double-breasted suit with Vista-inspired prints.
