Elon Musk announces video & audio calling facilities on X for iOS, Android, Mac & PC

Pune: X Owner Elon Musk has declared that X will be having an audio and video calling feature in the near future. He has further specified that the new functionality will be compatible with a variety of operating systems, including Android, iOS, PCs, and Macs.
Musk has asserted that audio and video conversations can be conducted without the need for a phone number. He has further asserted that X is the effective global address book.
As per information from the official Twitter handle of Elon Musk, “Video & audio calls are coming to X:
· Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC
· No phone number needed
· X is the effective global address book
That set of factors is unique.”
The new “X” feature has been teased several times in the past, and now it looks like it’s going to be a part of one of the upcoming updates. Twitter designer Andrea Conway has shared some snippets of the new X features, including the user interface (UI).
The audio and video call interface looks a lot like other apps that provide in-app calling options. Users will be able to make audio or video calls from the DM section of the app. Elon Musk hasn’t said if this new feature will be exclusive to Blue subscribers or if it’ll be available for all X users.
