Employment opportunities for labourers in Pune

Covid19 pandemic took away jobs of many people and made an adverse impact on their livelihood. Service oriented sectors suffered a major setback during the first and second wave. To provide job opportunities for people from the industrial and construction sectors, the Pune District Legal Services Authority has taken the initiative to provide job opportunities to unemployed people.

The initiative has been taken up by the Pune District Legal Services Authority, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, Divine Jain Group Trust and Lalita Motilal Sankala Foundation. The economic crisis made it difficult for many workers to cope with the day-to-day running costs.
“Employment fairs have been organized to financially empower such workers. It will provide employment for industrial, construction, housekeeping and security personnel,” said Chief District and Sessions Judge Sanjay A Deshmukh.
He stated in a press conference on August 23, 2021. The Pune District Legal Services Authority Secretary Pratap Sawant, Symbiosis Law school, Pune Director Dr. Shashikala Gurpur, Sanket Shah, President, Divine Jain Group Trust and Sanil Sankala, President, Lalita Motilal Sankala Foundation were present on the occasion.
The college will scrutinize the workers application after they apply to the court. The workers’ applications will then be sent to the concerned companies through the trust and the foundation. According to the Secretary Sawant, employment will be provided to the applicant according to his / her interest and knowledge.
