Empowering Young Minds: Geeta Rao’s Journey in Education

Pune, March 8, 2025 – On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the inspiring journey of Geeta Rao, a dedicated educator and mentor who has shaped the futures of thousands of students through her unwavering passion for teaching Science subjects. As the Faculty, Founder, and Director of Shree Tutorials, she has spent over two decades guiding young minds toward academic excellence.

Geeta Rao’s expertise has influenced more than 11,000 students. Many of her students have gone on to pursue higher education at prestigious institutions worldwide, including IITs, IISc, BITS, COEP, and Universities like Purdue, Wharton, and Berkeley.

A Legacy of Excellence in Education

Geeta Rao’s academic journey began with schooling at St. Joseph’s Convent, followed by BSc, MSc, and MPhil in Chemistry from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, MP. She was a meritorious student throughout. Her early years of teaching were at the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune, where she served as a Lecturer for five years, teaching Chemistry to the cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, who earn a BSc degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

In 2004, Geeta Rao founded SHREE TUTORIALS, located at PK INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Pimple Saudagar, Pune 411017, a coaching institute specializing in Science for 9th and 10th and Chemistry for 11th and 12th-grade students. Her institute has been a stepping stone for aspirants of JEE, NEET, and SAT, nurturing futures in the fields of Science & Technology, Engineering, and Medicine.

“Teaching is my true passion, and I am deeply committed to helping students excel,” says Geeta Rao.

Inspiring Generations of Students

Beyond just academics, Geeta Rao believes in empowering students with confidence and critical thinking skills. “Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about inspiring students to reach their full potential,” she says. All her students showed tremendous improvement in their grades. Notably, Ansh Gupta, Mehal Pandkar, Mrinmayee Sakharekar, and Tanuja Ghosh scored a perfect 100/100 in Science in 10th CBSE, while many others scored close to it.

Apart from excelling in the 10th and 12th Board exams, her students apply their knowledge of science to other prestigious competitions. Many have won Gold Medals in the National Science Olympiad (NSO) and Dr. Homi Bhabha Bal Vaidnyanic Competition – achievers include Srushti Bhangale, Arnav Dharmapurikar, Devam Shah, and Arav Bhoval.

“Geeta Rao’s classes were so much fun for my son. She is extremely knowledgeable, dedicated, and professional. She emphasizes clearing basic concepts,” said the parent of Mehal Pandkar, who scored 100/100 in Science in the 10th CBSE Board.
