Erratic power supply irks citizens of Pimple Saudagar
For the past one year, mostly after the pandemic struck us unknowingly also imposed a forceful work from home for everyone. This resulted in putting drastic burden on the power supply. This resulted in frequent power cuts across the city.
Pimple Saudagar is one of the smart city suburbs chosen by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and several development projects are undergoing in the area for the past one year. At some locations the development work carried out by the smart city office has also caused some damage to the electricity lines.
Pimple Saudagar Corporator Shatrughna Kate recently held a meeting with the officials of the smart city office, MSEDCL and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and residents of the area.
Shatrughan Kate said, “Due to the smart city work, cement concreting of road and related work is going on at various places in Pimple Saudagar-Rahatani area and so residents are facing many issues and specifically intermittent electricity supply issue. Most of the People are working from home, Students are having online classes and so many things are dependent on continuous electricity supply.”
Kate called a meeting MSEDCL officials, smart city officials and residents to raise the issues and also to get a definite solution to the problem.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Bhalkar, city engineer, Smart city, Manoj Sethiya, executive engineer, Manoj Purohit, junior engineer, MSEDCL, Laxmikant Kolhe, executive engineer, T K Chavan, project manager, S A Ware, electric department, Swami and Pravin Surnar.
