Expedite work of connecting rooftop solar panels projects to MSEDCL grid through net metering

Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar directed to further increase the technical and administrative speed of implementing the solar power project and provide prompt service to the customers concerned.

Pune: A training and study of solar power projects was organised for engineers and technical staff of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) in collaboration with Sameer Gandhi of Greenergy Sustainables LLP and Swapnil Bathe of Energica Solutions recently.

Speaking at the event, Rajendra Pawar, Chief Engineer, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) said that the rooftop solar power projects are getting a good response as customers are giving preference to green energy. “However, the readiness of engineers and employees is important to connect these solar projects with the grid of MSEDCL through net metering. Engineers and technical staff will be given actual information and training through this solar power project and net metering,” he said.

Sameer Gandhi, director, Maharashtra Solar Manufacturers Association (MASMA) present at the programme then guided the engineers and employees. He said, “The importance of solar energy is increasing day by day. Compared to other states, MSEDCL has done well in solar power projects.”

He expressed his belief that with the co-operation of MSEDCL and ‘Masma’, solar energy projects will gain momentum and customers will get prompt service. Superintending Engineer Prakash Raut also provided technical guidance at the event.

A large number of engineers, officers and employees of MSEDCL were present at the inaugural event which was followed by training for engineers and technical staff of Shivajinagar division of MSEDCL.
