PUNE: Baramati MP, Supriya Sule, has brought to light the challenges faced by a multitude of citizens, particularly farmers and students, due to the current routes of DEMU trains operating between Daund-Pune, Pune-Solapur, and Hadapsar-Solapur.

Sule has emphasized that the current practice of these trains stopping at Hadapsar station instead of Pune station places a significant financial burden on passengers traveling from Patas, Kadethan, Kedgaon, Yawat, Uruli Kanchan, Loni-Kalbhor, Manjari, and Daund. To alleviate these inconveniences, Sule has underscored the importance of extending the routes, allowing the trains to directly reach Pune station. This proposed change, particularly for the 6 a.m. Solapur Passenger train would greatly benefit college students and commuters alike.

Furthermore, Sule has advocated for the inclusion of a stop at Kedgaon station in Daund for the Indore-Daund-Indore train, which would effectively serve nearby villages. In her appeal to Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Sule has requested the consideration of these route extensions, prioritizing the convenience and well-being of all citizens impacted by these train services.
