Fatal Dinner Date : Cab Driver Kills IT Professional over Dues in Wagholi

Pune : Lonikand police have arrested a cab driver who allegedly murdered an IT professional for Rs. 3,000. 

The deceased has been identified as Gaurav Suresh Uravi (35), was found dead near the Malhari Dongar area in Wagholi.

The police investigation began after they discovered a trail of blood that led them to the body of the victim. During investigation it was revealed that the cab driver along with one other killed Gaurav. Police have arrested Bhagwan Kendre, a cab driver and search of others is going on.

According to sources, Gaurav Suresh Uravi worked at an IT company in Kharadi and resided in a society in the same area. On the night of Friday, he had informed his friends that he was going out for dinner and never returned.

During police investigation it was revealed that Gaurav used to book Bhagwan’s car and had to pay him the due of Rs 3,000. On Friday the accused called Gaurav and brought him to Malhari Dongar and killed him over pending dues of Rs 3,000.
