A massive fire broke out in Humsafar Express on September 23 in Gujarat’s Valsad. The Humsafar Express train runs between Tiruchirappalli and Shri Ganganagar. So far, no casualty has been reported.

As per information, Sumit Thakur, CPRO, Western Railway, has informed that there was fire and smoke in the power car / brake van coach of the train No 22498, travelling from Tiruchchirappalli Junction to Shri Ganganagar Junction passing by Valsad. 

Thakur added that all the passengers in the adjacent coach have been deboarded and no casualty has been reported. The coach will be separated from this train soon, he said.

As per information from X handle of DRM Mumbai Central, WR “1/2 Train 22498 Tiruchchirappalli Junction to Shri Ganganagar Junction, while passing Valsad station, smoke/fire was noticed in power car/brake van coach around 2.20pm. All passengers of the adjacent coach were deboarded safely. No casualty, no injury to anyone.”
