Tragic Death at Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar; Man Commits Suicide

Pune: A 25-year-old man committed suicide in Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar on Friday, September 22.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vilas Sonde, Police Inspector, Vimantal Police Station, said “On Friday evening, a young man committed suicide by jumping off the 4th floor in the parking lot of Phoenix Mall. His body was found on the road near the ground floor parking area of the mall.”
As per further information by Sonde, a call was received in the evening time to the control room. The caller said that a man had fallen from the 4th floor of the Phoenix Mall parking lot in Viman Nagar. The police immediately went to the spot. The victim was rushed to Sassoon hospital where he was declared dead before medical attention could be given to him.
Vimantal Police have initiated a case of accidental death and are in the process of conducting a thorough inquiry to ascertain the cause of death. The body has been sent for an autopsy at Sassoon Hospital. The authorities are attempting to determine whether the deceased’s fall was the result of an unfortunate incident or a criminal act. Further investigation of the case is underway.
