Fire brigade rescues trailer driver after the accident on Dari pool in Katraj

The Pune Fire Brigade personnel at Sinhagad Fire Station was alerted about a trailer meeting with an accident at 3.34 AM on December 6th in Jambhulwadi, Dari pool area, Katraj. The trailer was driving from Satara to Pune when the vehicle turned upside down and the driver was found injured. Jawan Shivaji Mujumale and Shivaji Aatole using a cutter, spreader and a crane rescued the driver safely and admitted him for further medical investigation.

A two-wheeler rider who driving on the stretch when the accident happened. He tried rescuing the driver but seeing that the vehicle was catching fire the motorist ran away from the site and jumped from the bridge. Hearing his voice, the fire brigade personnel and nearby residents rescued him.

Since the vehicle turned upside down, it also spilled oil on the road, the jawans dusted dry soil over the oil to further curb vehicle accidents. The rescue operation was carried out by Prabhakar Umratkar, fire officer ; Sinhagad Fire Station driver Dnyaneshwar Bathe; Tandel Shivaji Mujumule, fireman Shivaji Aatole, helpers Digambar Wanave, Kalpesh Bangude and Rajendra Bhilare. Jawans from PMRDA fire station were also present along with police and some residents during the rescue operation.
