Fire safety program held in Mont Vert Seville

A training program on fire safety and management was held in Mont Vert Seville society in Wakad. Fire and Security Association of India Pune branch successfully conducted a noble program on fire safety training for housing societies under their mission Surakshit Bharat.

The training was given by Lieutenant Gautam Saliwal (retd Indian Navy fire safety advisor and trainer). Saliwal gave a live demo and discussed and performed all the safety measures to be taken while fire occurs. Saliwal also guided and gave training to senior citizens and childrens on how to handle the fire safety equipments.


Chief Guest Kiran Gawde (Chief Fire Officer PCMC) gave an insightful knowledge about various government regulations and fire act for housing societies. Technical officer of fire department Chavan gave a live demo for fire vehicles and method of fire extinguishing.

The session was conceptualized by Virendra Borade (Vice Chairman for event and program FSAI). Ganesh Dhore Chairman of Mont Vert Seville Society gave opening remark and welcomed all dignitaries. FSAI Pune chapter President Nitin Joshi briefed about FSAI Vision and Mission. A quiz competition was conducted by Ajit Yadav.
Program was well organized by coordinator Sujal Shah, Secretary Archana Gavhane, advocacy chairman Amol Umbarje, Shashank Kulkarni, Nitish Gupta, Ajay Sengar, Arijit Bhattacharya, Ganesh Jogdande etc. PCMC Housing Federation President Tejaswini Dhomse, Treasurer Sachin Londhe also extended their valued support in this event. Many other housing societies office bearers were also present and appreciated.


“Fire and Safety association of India is one of the most reputed non-profit organization serving the nation in various aspects. Today Pune chapter has successfully conducted the program in the society. Looking at the growing fire incidents in high rise societies across India, we are conducting this training program under Surakshit Bharat.” said Virendra Borade, (Vice Chairman for event and program FSAI).

“These awareness sessions will encourage societies to organize such activities and will make people aware on fire safety and also will help to makes the premises safer, ” said Tejaswini Sawai Dhomse, President PCMC Housing Federation.
