Pune, 7th May 2025: In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor—India’s military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack—flights from Pune to five cities have been temporarily suspended due to heightened security protocols at various airports.

Air connectivity from Pune to Amritsar, Chandigarh, Kishangarh, Rajkot, and Jodhpur has been disrupted. Officials cited security-related restrictions and intensified airspace monitoring as reasons behind the cancellations.

According to the Pune Airport Authority, affected passengers were notified via airline updates, terminal announcements, and online platforms. Ground staff were deployed to assist travelers, and airlines are offering full refunds or alternate travel arrangements as per DGCA guidelines.

“Our teams have ensured that passengers impacted by these changes receive prompt assistance in accordance with aviation norms,” said an airport official.

Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the terror strike that killed 26 civilians—several from Pune—has triggered heightened alerts nationwide, with effects now spilling over into the civil aviation sector.

Despite the disruption, airport authorities reaffirmed their commitment to passenger safety and support. Travelers are urged to check flight status and stay updated through official airline communication channels.
