A group of impostor doctors established a fully operational hospital in Surat, Gujarat, and listed high-ranking administrative and police officials as guests for the opening ceremony without prior consultation.

A fraudulent hospital in Surat, operated by individuals with dubious qualifications, was closed just one day after its opening; authorities are conducting a deeper investigation into the fraud. This situation has raised alarms regarding the existence of unlicensed professionals in the healthcare industry, highlighting the urgent need for more stringent regulations to protect public health.

The recently closed Janseva Multispecialty Hospital was established in the Pandesara region of Surat and had its inauguration on Sunday.

The hospital was closed just one day after it opened, as the state government stepped in to avert any potential incidents of improper treatment that could endanger lives.

Authorities have reported that at least two of the five co-founders possess fraudulent degrees. Additionally, there are concerns about the legitimacy of the degrees held by the remaining three co-founders, prompting an investigation by the police.

A high-ranking police officer stated that another co-founder, RK Dubey, who asserts he has a degree in electro-homeopathy, is facing legal action under the Medical Practitioners Act.

The inauguration invite listed several high-ranking officials, such as Surat Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal, Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut, and Joint Police Commissioner Raghavendra Vatsa. However, these officials have claimed they were not informed about the invitation. Consequently, none of them attended the event.

The qualifications of the remaining co-founders are being questioned. One of them is allegedly involved in several legal issues, including violations of the Prohibition Act, which cast additional doubt on their credentials.

The hospital grounds have been secured, and officials are actively pursuing their investigation. Based on the results, additional legal measures will be implemented against those implicated in the fraud.
