Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations Held At Geeta Ashram In Khadki
Geeta Ashram, Pune celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Devotees, as in previous years, enthusiastically participated in this devotional gathering. This time the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations commenced at Geeta Ashram, Khadki in the morning with the installation of the Lord Ganesh Idol. This was followed by the Abhishekam, Pooja and Archana. This was followed by the Ganesh Arati after which the holy Prasadam was distributed to the assembled devotees. The devotees in the multitudes enthusiastically participated in the same. There will be regular Pooja and Arati in front of the Ganesh idol in the morning and evening for a period of seven days.
Ganesh Chaturthi is a very auspicious day in the life of devotees. It is a day of remembering Lord Ganesh . The arrival of Lord Ganesh symbolises the arrival of happiness and hope in peoples’ lives. Lord Ganesh is very popular as the remover of obstacles thereby bringing prosperity, wealth, success and happiness. Founded in 1998 by some close followers of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa, the Geeta Ashram, Pune is dedicated to spiritual activities. The ashram, situated in Khadki, Pune, upholds the selfless principle of “Nara Seva, Narayan Seva” (Service to Humanity is Service to God as taught by Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa ).
