Ganpati mandals must follow guidelines issued by govt

Wanowrie Police station had organised a meeting of Ganpati mandals members on July 24 at Jambhulkar chowk to inform the members of the guidelines issued by the state government over the celebrations of Ganesh Utsav in view of Covid19. The meeting was attended by several ganpati mandal members from Wanowrie. 
The officials informed that the mandals will not get any permission from local police station for procession for installation and immersion, the idol should not exceed more than four feet for Ganesh mandals and two feet for household ganpati idols, ganpati aarti should be conducted by five people only and must follow social distancing rules, mandaps should be small, mandap should be Sanitised everyday, etc. The meeting was attended by over thirty members of Ganpati mandals, local Corporators Prashant Jagtap and Kalinda Punde, Senior Police Inspector Krantikumar Patil and other residents.
