During summer, the sweltering heat, and humidity can make the sebaceous glands to produce more oil to keep the skin hydrated. This makes the skin greasy, attracts dust and dirt. Pollution makes the skin acne prone.
Oily skin is challenging during summer months ,leads to excessive oil production and clogged pores.Sweat, heat, humidity clogs pores.This makes the skin greasy in the T zone ,giving rise to black heads and white heads,acne and clogged pores.
You must wash your face with a sandalwood soap atleast twice a day. One may also get pimples on the back due to excessive sweating. A bath twice in a day will help you to feel comfortable and fresh.
Use oil free products, light weight products that don’t clog the pores .wash atleast thrice a day will help the skin fresh.
Exfoliation once or twice a week is a must to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.
Using a toner will balance your skin s Ph balance and remove excessive oil.
Again, stay hydrated. Drink plenty of liquids to hydrate the skin and flush out toxins. Detox drinks like lime water, lemon slices in a bottle of water will help you Detox.
Use clay masks to absorb excessive oil and purify the skin. A good idea is to use a mixture of multani matti and sandalwood powder, not only for the face, also as a body mask to keep the skin normal
Sunscreen 50 is a must during summer, atleast three applications in a day.
Drink atleast three litres of water, fresh juices and lime water will help excessive sweating. Liquids are very important in summer.
Excessive use of airconditioner makes the skin dry. This makes the skin secrete more oil and clog the pores again. May be you can use the a/c off and on.
Be cautious Summer heat is already reaching a pitch.
Wear light clothes, cover your self when going out. Wear your shades while going in the sun and stay hydrated. Beat the heat!
