Good News : PMC Approves Gradient Reduction Work Of NIBM Undri Road Near Palace Orchard
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved the work of reducing the slope of road near Ishrat Baug Society in Undri.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Parveen Tambe, Founder Member, NIBM Undri Road Residents’ Forum, said “After constant follow ups with the PMC & protest at Bizzbay Mall, the slope reduction work of the road near Ishrat Baug Society has been finally approved. The PMC has given assurance that the slope reduction work will begin once the rainy season ends.”
As per information, the work is expected to begin in a couple of months. Along with this, other needs of some basic facilities which are not there currently like road widening along with divider, shifting utility chambers on footpath or to the road side area and constructing footpath were also put forth.
Widening and constructing divider is planned till Everjoy Society. For the rest of the demands, PMC Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakane will be coming to the area to conduct a survey.
Nanda Lonkar, Ex Corporator, NIBM Road said “We met PMC additional commissioner Vikas Dhakane yesterday regarding the reduction of the road. He has assured everyone that the plan has been finalized. Soon, tender will be floated & finalized. Once the rainy season is over, the slope reduction work will commence.”
