Green Acres residents meet deputy registrar to seek justice

Residents of Green Acres society on Salunke Vihar road in Kondhwa protested outside the Deputy Registrar Zone 4 office in Marketyard seeking justice in the complaint raised by the members of the society.

On Friday 18 February at 3 pm, over 209 members of Green Acres CHS demonstrated against the deputy registrar Pune 4 office to complain against the order against society and putting pressure on the administrator to stop all payments of security, housekeeping.

A resident of the society alleged, “This decision imposed on us has brought a good well managed society to the brink. We protested against corrupt practices. Citizens are struggling against the corruption and high handedness of the Deputy Registrar and officials of Cooperative dept.”

Nanda Narayan Lonkar, local Corporator Prabhag 26 Mohamadwadi Kausarbaugh who was also present alongwith the residents demanded justice for the residents.

The residents met Dr R S Dhondkar, deputy registrar, Pune Co-operative societies office, Zone 4 and demanded an order stating that the registrar should allow to form a three member committee in the society wherein the members were approved in the special general body meeting to look after the society’s operations.

Dhondkar while speaking to Pune Pulse said, “I have instructed the administrator to allow them to form a three member committee and also to submit the detailed list of registered voters (authorised members required for the election process).”

The deputy registrar has also allowed to start with the election process in the society.

Another resident said that one person in the society is harassing 200 members for no fault of theirs. We want immediate justice now.
