With the auspicious “Guru Pushya Amrit Yog” falling on Thursday, political leaders in Maharashtra seized the opportunity to file their nominations for the upcoming Assembly elections, even before some parties have officially announced candidates.

Although the Congress and NCP (SP) have not yet declared their full list of candidates, many leaders are moving forward with the nomination process.
